In collaboration with DOST-Caraga, the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) will conduct the virtual Regional Basic Research Caravan (RBRC) in Caraga via Google Meet on September 9, 2020 from 8:00AM to 12:00NN.

With the theme: “Nurturing Regional R&D Niches,” NRCP remains steadfast in their efforts to strengthen regional partnership for basic research promotion and advancement that is aligned to regional priorities, as well as expanding the pool of experts through NRCP membership.

The event will highlight research outputs including that of Prof. Gina Rio Dedeles on Philippine Mangroves. Prof. Dedeles is a regular memner of the NRCP from the University of Santo Tomas (UST). The complete list of resources speakers, topics and activities will be posted later.

NRCP will also give an orientation during the caravan on how to become an NRCP member and the opportunities of the R&D Leadership Program under the Science for Change Program (S4CP).

DOST-Caraga and NRCP invites anyone interested from the academe, HEIs/SUCs especially those with MS or PhD degrees and are active in research. Participants from the LGUs, private sectors, NGAs and research consortia can also register.
