In its continuous pursuit for solutions to health problems in the region, the Caraga Health Research and Development Consortium (CHRDC) calls the attention of local researchers for the submission of proposals this 2016.
DOST Caraga Regional Director Dominga D. Mallonga, in her talk during the opening ceremony of the Writeshop on Proposal Development last Jan. 20, 2016, encouraged the participants to conduct health-related studies, not only for purposes of meeting academic functions and requirements, but research and development outputs that will be useful as scientific basis or evidence-based policy making and informed decision-making that will benefit the local populace.
According to her, there are several health and environment issues in the region needing solutions thru R&D.
It was also learned that the consortium has sufficient funds to support studies, yet, only a few have shown interest and submitted research proposals.
Research proposals can be submitted to DOST Caraga office located at CSU Campus, Ampayon, Butuan City. Interested researchers may also contact the office at telephone number (085) 341-9551 or fax number (085) 342-5684. (mfurbiztondo)
