CReATE partners DOST’s OneSTore

BUTUAN CITY, Philippines- The CReATE (Caraga Regional Association of Traders and Entrepreneurs) has decided to sell online through OneSTore, DOST’s (Department of Science and Technology) newest online buying platform after Assistant Regional Director, Mr. Ricardo N. Varela presented it to the association, in a meeting at the Department of Trade and Industry Regional Office.

Aside from an increase sales and market that CreATE Food can get when they go online, Mr. Varela also highlighted that OneSTore is a way to promote Caraga’s products outside the region or even globally.

CReATE Food will register first to DOST to become an official product consolidator. However, the real challenge here is the commitment of CReATE Food to deliver the products since buyers may come from places far from the region.
“We should come up with a team who will handle this, who can monitor 24/7,” said Ms. Annette Anduyan of the Department of Trade and Industry.

DOST-Caraga is now coordinating with Air 21 to function as the official delivery express of the products once it operates.

OneSTore was developed by IT professionals in DOST-Region II and was launched on the web in 2015. It is a hub where products from different places of the country are bought online through www.oneSTore.ph. It was created because of the need to showcase the products and widen the scope of the target markets among MSMEs (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) that are assisted by the Small Enterprise Technology Upgrading Program (SETUP) of DOST.
Most beneficiaries of the SETUP in Caraga are also members of CReATE Food which already has two consolidation centers, the OTOP (One-town-one-product) and Tindahang Pinoy. There are already more than 500 items found in OneStore, varying from food, agriculture, furniture, handicrafts and machineries. Eight products from Caraga region are already on the OneStore website.

While it has been concluded in the discussion that CReATE Food will be engaging with OneSTore, signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with DOST-Caraga will soon to be set
